Through a divinely orchestrated event (my son and I were given tickets to the 1995 Major League Baseball All-Star Game @ The Ballpark at Arlington where I eavesdropped on a conversation) I was introduced to a community of Christ followers where, for the first time, I established a foundation of trust. I began building relationships with authentic believers that allowed me to begin seeing a different picture of God.
I joined Watermark staff in May 2001 and have served in various capacities. I am passionate about helping women who are far from Jesus draw near to the one who loves them and died that they may have abundant life. It’s why I love my current role in care ministries.
I enjoy a good ‘treasure hunt’ or ‘bargain’ and can often be found at Canton Trade Days or Thrift Stores. A Texas girl through and through (born and raised in Dallas), I dream of owning an Airstream trailer (named Rescued…also great name for a thrift store!) so that I can take Texas road trips visiting diners, thrift stores, and the ‘characters’ in the small towns.
I cherish spending time with my son, Luke, and his wife, Kim, family, and friends. I love to laugh, and no one makes me laugh more than my grandchildren, Georgia, Millie, and Walker. In fact, being their “Honey” is my happiest role of all.
