I grew up in small town Oklahoma with my parents, older brother, and twin sister. I was raised in church, taught from an early age to know and love God. However, it wasn’t until middle school that God convicted me of my own sin and desperate need for salvation. My life was marked by pride, self-sufficiency, and a tendency toward people-pleasing. And yet, God personally met me and revealed that life and satisfaction are found in him alone. He then, through the local church and summers at Kanakuk Kamps, surrounded me by faithful women who shepherded me to love and follow Christ, which formed my faith with strength and confidence.
I felt the Lord clearly call me to ministry my junior year of high school, which then took me to Samford University (go Bulldogs!!). I spent four years learning about theology and ministry while God slowly grew my passion for the local church. The Lord used that growing passion to lead me to the Watermark Institute, which deepened my love for him and my enthusiasm for his church. I now serve on the college team with great eagerness to see 18-22 year olds come to know, love, and follow Jesus. What a joy it is to proclaim how good God is!!
