Meet Suzy

I moved a lot growing up due to being a pastor’s kid, but I call West Texas home! Que Amarillo by morning. God’s grace is I had a dad who deeply cared about making sure I understood the Gospel and life with Jesus was fun! So, from a young age I trusted in Jesus but in high school and in my first year of college pride took over and I put Jesus on a shelf and would pull Him down when I needed something because I thought I had it all under control. After a hard first year of college, I decided to do what anyone does and googled internships in Uganda. I got the opportunity to go live in Uganda for the summer and that is where the Lord woke me up and saved me from myself. During that time, I laid down my control and decided to take my walk with Jesus seriously and we’ve been best friends ever since. Once I came back, I changed my major to nursing and I thought the Lord was going to send me overseas to do missions but instead He has called me to South Dallas. Through hard seasons of uncertainty, losing my dad to cancer, and struggling with wanting to take back control I can confidently say life with Jesus is better. Because Romans 5:8 is true that while I was a sinner, Christ died for me, because he loved me and now, I get to have a relationship with the Lord because of Jesus’ sacrifice. There’s no greater gift than this. Friend our tears have an expiration date! Revelation 21:3-4 God sees you and has a plan for you! Now if you read my job title Kid’s coordinator is not nursing. God called me out of nursing to serve the community of south Dallas and to disciple the next generation. His ways are truly better than mine. Isaiah 55:8-9

If you’re looking for me outside of Watermark there’s a 78% chance, I’m out of town on an adventure. My friends always say they are never shocked to see my location in a different state or country. I love being outside, going on adventures, good coffee, and I love hitting the dance floor my friends.
