Meet Debra

I grew up in Houston, TX. I was raised in a family that knew God and made it a priority that my sisters and I did as well. I accepted Christ to be my Lord and Savior when I was 8, but my daily abiding in Him came in my adult years after my 30’s here at Watermark! I walked in the doors in January 2013 and fell in love with the Lord and ALL His goodness. There once was a time in my life when I lived based on what the world told me was important. BUT GOD rescued me from the shame of my past. Now I am filled with the Holy Spirit who does not make me timid but gives me power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7.

I am the proud wife to a God-fearing loving husband, John John, and we are blended family with three adult children. I spent my college years in the hill country of Texas and can proudly say I am a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. I previously worked at a Texas based bank as a Technical Product Manager, where I enjoyed collaborating with teams, solving problems, and bringing technical ideas and products to life.

I love spending time outdoors, exploring other countries with John John, and summer nights sitting on the front porch connecting with my neighbors. Whether I am biking around DFW or enjoying a nice quiet evening at home, I value meaningful moments with my Savior and time spent with the people I love.
