Originally from the Sunshine State, I am somewhat new to the landlocked city of Dallas. Before I kissed the beach goodbye, I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church and learned how to become a very good rule follower but failed to understand what a relationship with Jesus really looked like.
After years of memorizing scripture and saying my yes ma’ams and sirs on cue, I experienced a defining moment in my faith when I learned my parents were getting a divorce and God stirred my heart in a way I had never felt before.
Since then, God has brought me to places and put people in my life who have encouraged and sharpened my faith. While I was getting a degree in Advertising and Public Relations at UCF, one of my friends even introduced me to The Porch podcast. Now, I have the honor of serving on staff for the ministry that poured into me for years.
Oh, and I am a proud dog mom to a part-Border Collie, part-small cow named Asher and he is less than thrilled with me being unavailable for walks every Tuesday (shoutout to my very kind roommate for picking up the slack.)
