I was born and raised in Mexico City, and at 16 I gave my life to Jesus after seeing the gospel completely transform my parents’ marriage and faith. That moment changed the direction of my life, and soon after I felt a clear call into ministry. I went on to study at a Christian university in Durango, Mexico, where I double majored in Biblical Studies and Music Education/Composition. Those years confirmed my calling to pastoral ministry and gave me a strong foundation for a lifetime of service.
I’m married to my best friend, Karla, and together we’ve been serving side by side in ministry for almost two decades. We have four amazing kids—Joel, Luciana, Sofia, and Caleb—who keep our home lively and full of joy.
One of my greatest passions is leading Project Puente, which exists to care for and strengthen pastors in Latin America so that their churches and communities can flourish. I also love my role at Watermark, where I get to walk alongside people and see God’s power transform lives through His church.
Outside of ministry, I love music, exploring new foods (the spicier the better!), and reading broadly. I’m a lifelong fan of real football—the one actually played with the foot that most people call soccer—but lately I’ve also started to enter the baseball world with my kids. Life’s a good mix of family, faith, fútbol, and a little bit of baseball.
